GCX AND UNDP HOLD DISCUSSIONS ON HOW TO STRENGTHEN TIES image

On 29th November, 2018, a GCX delegation led by the CEO, Dr. Kadri Alfah met with the UNDP Country Director, Gita Welch and her team to discuss possibility of strengthening collaborations between GCX and UNDP as well as all other UN agencies and development partners.

As part of Ghana’s aim of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals having incorporated it into its national development framework, association with international organizations is not only desirable, it is necessary. This is to enable the global and regional trading hub (GCX) to reduce poverty, industrialize, develop intra-regional trade, strengthen capacities to benefit from globalisation, reduce vulnerability in fluctuating overseas markets and achieve an effective African unity, both politically and economically as it begins operations.

GCX and UNDP look forward to strengthening collaborations between them on many levels.
