A team from GCX led by Dr. Kadri Alfah, CEO of the Exchange on Tuesday December 18, 2018 embarked on a market visitation to interact with the Maize Sellers Association at the Tuesday Market in Mamprobi, Accra.

The President of the Tuesday Market Maize Sellers Association, Madam Naomi Quaye in her welcome address, expressed appreciation to have GCX pay them a visit and looked forward to having interactions with GCX.

The CEO of GCX, Dr. Kadri thanked the Association for giving the GCX team the opportunity to visit and spend the morning with them. Team members took turns to explain to the Association members what GCX was about, the operations of GCX, the various maize standards and also benefits to be derived from trading through the Exchange.

During the question and answer time, the market women expressed some concerns particularly on how they could participate in the GCX without losing their customers. The GCX team assured them that trading on the GCX platform would rather create an opportunity to increase the customer base. The CEO encouraged them to strengthen their Association and come together as a group to register with GCX to reap the benefits associated with trading through the Exchange.

At the end of the visit, the Deputy CEO of GCX, Mrs. Tucci Goka Ivowi thanked the Market Women for their warm reception and participation in making the session very interactive. She assured members of the Association that GCX would take all concerns raised into consideration and would visit more often.
