Accra, Ghana — The Ghana Commodity Exchange (GCX) proudly welcomed a distinguished group of finance students from Harvard University on May 9th, 2023. The visit provided an invaluable opportunity for these students to gain firsthand knowledge about the operations of the Exchange.

Led by Nana Opoku Agyeman-Prempeh, Chief Executive Officer of Grow For Me—an innovative agri-tech digital platform—the delegation was granted a comprehensive overview of GCX's operations.

The delegation was received by Mr. Joseph Anum Nai, Deputy Head of Membership and Special Projects at GCX. Mr. Nai provided a detailed walkthrough of GCX's operations, shedding light on critical aspects such as membership enrollment, the diverse membership models available, and the intricacies of the trading models employed by the exchange.

The interactive session provided an opportunity for exchange of ideas and perspectives, underscoring GCX's pivotal role in transforming the agricultural landscape of Ghana and beyond. The students gained insights not only into the technicalities of commodity trading but also into the broader socio-economic impact such platforms can have on local communities.

GCX remains dedicated to fostering collaborations and knowledge-sharing with educational institutions around the world. This engagement with Harvard University stands as a testament to GCX's ongoing commitment to innovation, education, and sustainable agricultural development.
