Mr. Bismark Tawiah Boateng
Mr. Bismark Tawiah Boateng is a highly accomplished Ghanaian entrepreneur, contractor, and political figure with over three decades of progressive experience in business management, cooperative finance, and leadership. Born on 10th July 1964 in Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana, He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Technology in Business Administration (Marketing Option) at Koforidua Technical University. He combines academic advancement with a proven record of strategic leadership and service to both the public and private sectors.
Mr. Boateng began his professional journey in financial administration, serving as Branch Manager at St. Francis Cooperative Credit Union and later at Koforidua Community Credit Union. His strong managerial skills and financial acumen led him to the corporate sector, where he has served as General Manager of Golden BTC Limited since its establishment, as well as Golden Farms Limited and BCOM Group Limited. His leadership has consistently driven growth, innovation, and operational excellence within these organizations.
Mr. Boateng also contributed to public administration as a Board Member of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), where he participated in strategic governance and institutional strengthening.
In addition to his professional achievements, Bismark Tawiah Boateng has had a long and impactful career in Ghanaian politics. His political journey began in 1991 as a pioneer of the Eagle Club, followed by his service as Branch Chairman of the SDA Education Unit in Koforidua in 1992. He was later elected Constituency Organizer for Koforidua, marking the beginning of a long and impactful career in political organization and leadership.
He then served as an Elected Assembly Member, during which he also acted as Chairman of the Access Committee of the New Juaben Municipal Assembly. His commitment to welfare and governance saw him appointed as Regional Welfare Officer for the Eastern Region and later as an Assembly Appointee of the New Juaben Municipal Assembly.
Mr. Boateng’s influence extended to regional and national levels when he served as Regional Organizer for the Eastern Region, and subsequently as the Regional Chairman. During this period, he was also a National Executive Committee (NEC) Member, providing strategic direction and contributing to key national decisions.
His contributions to national political campaigns have been equally noteworthy. He was a Campaign Team Member for the late President Prof. John Evans Atta Mills, and later served as a Campaign Team Member for the current President, H.E John Dramani Mahama, in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Mr. Boateng continues to serve actively as a Regional and National Communication Team Member, a National Conflict Resolution Team Member in charge of the Ashanti Region, and a Conflict Resolution Team Member for the Eastern Region. He has also been a respected member of the Council of Elders in the Eastern Region, providing mentorship and guidance to emerging political leaders.
His field experience includes serving as a Polling Agent in twelve constituency by-elections, including Kumawu, Offinso South, Tamale South, Asawase, Odododiodoo, Bimbila, Walensi, Chereponi, Jirapa, Atiwa, Ablekuma, and Gomoa West, demonstrating his deep commitment to the democratic process and grassroots political organization.
Throughout his professional and political life, Mr. Boateng has represented Ghana in several important workshops and delegations. Notably, he was part of a five-member DVLA delegation to Sweden for a one-month international workshop. He has also participated in multiple New Juaben Municipal Assembly workshops and the Council of Indigenous Business Association (CIBA) Workshops in Accra, further broadening his knowledge in governance, business administration, and policy development.
His work and leadership have earned him national recognition, including the Icon of Peace and Unity Award and the Legendary Performance Award at the 2024 State Impact Awards, both testifying to his enduring influence and exemplary public conduct.
Deeply passionate about politics, farming, and reading, Mr. Boateng is known for his dedication to unity, peacebuilding, and socioeconomic development. His reputation for integrity, mentorship, and visionary leadership continues to inspire many within both the political and business landscapes of Ghana.
Hon. Joseph Kwashie Gidisu
Honourable Joseph Kwashie Gidisu has forged a distinguished career marked by a profound dedication to education, infrastructure development, and public service in Ghana. Hon. Gidisu’s professional life has been characterized by a deep-seated commitment to community and national progress. With his extensive experience, built on a solid academic foundation, including a Master of Arts in Development Studies from The Hague, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Ghana, and a Teacher's Certificate 'A' from Kibi Men's Training College, he has transitioned from the classroom to roles of significant national responsibility, demonstrating a consistent focus on improving the lives of citizens through both human and physical capital development.
Mr. Gidisu's career began in the field of education, where he served as a teacher at various institutions in the 1970s. His passion for the profession extended beyond teaching, leading him to take on significant leadership roles within the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT). He served as the Volta Regional Secretary for GNAT from 1981 to 1986 and later became the National Coordinator for the Membership Education Department, a position he held from 1988 to 2000. This long tenure in teacher advocacy and organizational management underscores his commitment to strengthening the educational system from within, focusing on the professional development and welfare of its core practitioners.
In a significant chapter of his public service, from February 2009 to January 2013, Mr. Gidisu took on the demanding role of Minister for Roads and Highways. In this capacity, he demonstrated considerable leadership in overseeing the nation's critical transport infrastructure, addressing the immense task of maintaining and expanding Ghana's road network. He publicly managed the complexities of road financing, noting that the Ghana Road Fund's revenue could only meet a portion of the country's maintenance needs and highlighting the necessity for innovative funding solutions to ensure the sustainability of the road network for the benefit of the national economy.
