GHANA COMMODITY EXCHANGE VISITS DOME MARKET MAIZE SELLERS

The Ghana Commodity Exchange sent a delegation to the Dome market to engage with maize traders on Tuesday, 3rd September, 2019. This was yet another leg in the GCX market outreach programme where the Exchange seeks to reach out to traders in various markets across the country to promote the advantages that can be gained from trading with GCX and also to raise awareness on best practices with regards to storage of commodities to reduce losses.

The visit to the was an interesting event with the traders proving receptive to the message of the Exchange and asking pertinent questions which made the session an interactive event. A number of traders were interested in the presentation that was made to them on how GCX operates and the standards by which maize was graded and stored.

After the presentation, the maize traders took part in a question and answer session where they enquired about the locations of GCX warehouses and inquired as to how they could take part in the GCX e-trading platform.

Once these questions were suitably answered, the team also took the time to thank the traders for their time and encouraged them to partake in the wonderful opportunity that is trading with GCX.
